outdoor installations
My outdoor exhibition work is an adaptation of the themes and concepts found in my indoor work and installations. Geometric forms contrasting with curvilinear lines comprise the body of the sculpture, encased in perforated metal to continue my interest in translucency. The inside of the form is as critical as the outside, shown as light passes through the forms and the surrounding view of the environment integrates with them. The optical illusion of what you are seeing becomes increasingly complex with the perforations visually growing as you walk around the sculpture.
